Aside from running The Independent Crowd, I moonlight as a producer and writer for stuff I hardly care about but, which I am enjoying immensely. As a freelancer in the media industry, I know how difficult it is to be recognized by the mainstream audience.
My goal for The Independent Crowd is not to make indie mainstream (because, I think, indie kicks ass), but to salute those people who are trying to make a difference in their own field, their own way.
I admire non-conformists who do not apologize but rather embrace their individuality and originality. This is for those people.
